Been feeling better about myself lately. My depression has slowly started to fade, thankfully! I started caring more about myself (eating good, working out, knowing my worth, etc.). It’s really changing my life. Not much to say than that. I hope everyone is feeling good. Much love.

— January 302018 has started off pretty slow but I love it. Since the last update I learned how to sew! It’s super fun but it took a toll on my sleeping schedule (and bank account, haha). I also started a diet and began to workout. My heart feels better—no kidding. I don’t know why I waited this long to make this change in my life...I’m glad I did, though. Hopefully someone out there changes something this year. PROGRESS!

Totally forgot to write last week, typical me. The past week was awesome! I linked up with some friends from a Twitter group chat on Friday the 12th. I also launched a new website and logo for RUIZ! Very exciting for me—I sent months developing both. I’ve also been addicting to crypto currency…like very addicted. I’ve moved almost all my LTC to alternative coins, haha. Four days into the new year and I’ve been plotting on what to do next; I vowed to use this year to focus on my mental and physical health. Truthfully, I just want to be happy with myself this year and share that energy with others. Very excited to share Collection V by RUIZ later this year. Aiming to have it done before the summer. Lastly, I would like to thank Marci for inspiring me to start a personal online journal. Pardon for the odd style of writing, but this is how I typically write on my Moleskine...so many thoughts.An addition to a couple of updates monthly, I’ll be adding 3 things I’ve enjoyed reading, watching &#38;amp; listening to (with links).

I’m a Chicago—based multidisciplinary artist, currently working as a designer, art director, photographer, and filmmaker. I started RUIZ (roo-EEZ), a fashion label that focuses on storytelling through various mediums, in August of 2015. In 2016, I found END/LESS (endless), a group offering creative and commercial services.

09.16 Screwed over by the state of Illinois and dropped out of Columbia College Chicago temporarily.&#38;nbsp;08.16 Directed my first music video, Paris Williams’ Cute/Dummy

01.16 Learned how to screen print. Special thanks to Andy Warhol.

09.15 Began to study fashion design and fashion business at Columbia College Chicago.

08.15 Started RUIZ.
06.13 Discovered my passion for creating. Thanks to Kanye West’s Yeezus.

11.10 Began designing on GIMP.
06.06 Started my first YouTube channel where I posted skits and stop motion films with my brother and friends. Also learned how to edit on Microsoft’s Movie Maker.

480p (2017)Creative Direction by Daniel Ruiz and PariswifiGraphic Design &#38;amp; Art Direction by Daniel RuizAn album cover for pariswifi’s debut project titled “480p.” We began to discuss the cover and the album’s concept late 2015 and planned to shoot it sometime during his visit to Chicago in 2016 when we shot his music video, cute/dummy. The cover’s colors were created to look like how the album sounded to paris and I; additionally, we added elements of digital distortion for the album’s namesake. We pulled references from arcade games and album covers in the 80s.
